TERRA MADRE DAY
Saturday December 7, 3 to 7 pm
Benton County Fairgrounds Auditorium, Corvallis, Oregon
Please join Slow Food Corvallis and Ten Rivers Food Web in a celebration of Terra Madre Day, featuring a local-foods market, live music, kids’ activities, and a dinner prepared by Slow Food Corvallis. Entry is free of charge.
The Slow Food meal is inspired by the cookbook Jerusalem, by Yotam Ottolenghi and Sami Tamimi, but adapted to use Willamette Valley winter produce. The meal will include a salad of seasonal greens with persimmons and hazelnuts; roasted butternut squash and red onion with tahini and za’atar; basmati and wild rice with chickpeas, currants, and herbs; and kofta b’siniyah, or lamb and beef meatballs.
